Eating!

For some reason, we ate a lot of Italian and a lot of sandwiches from little Italian looking shops while in the UK. Plus, a couple of fish and chips. Everything was yummy...including the canneloni we picked up at Waitrose (the "expensive store" from what we hear.) Oh, yeah, and of couse we hit the Felsham pub twice - and sat at the bar. I'm sure we were the talk of the town - those crazy Americans that want to eat at the bar?!

Harrod's Food Halls were absolutely amazing - we were like kids in a candy shop. I won't even say how much our lunch there was...but well worth the experience. Yummy gelato, too.

Liverpool Street Station was a source of food, too, strangely enough. The Upper Crust supplied me with lots of hot chocolate and several shared sandwiches for Ben and I. By the time we made it into the station, we were usually starved and running late...so it was a good option. Oh, it was also the source of this terrible doughnut - the English just don't seem to understand that you need to put sugar in pastries - and who knows why Ben picked up this horrible looking meal. Yuck!

We also ate Sultana Bran - what the heck are santanas? Raisins. Right.

What the heck's Brown Sauce? I dunno, but I'm scared to try it. :-)

These chips were awesome - took pic so I can look them up online - hope to find them in the States somewhere.
